Our Projects

New Jersey Children's Alliance

The New Jersey Children's Alliance is the State Project of the New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs for 2024-2026.  The NJCA is a site-wide organization whose mission is to promote hope, healing and justice for the victims of child abuse.  Women's clubs throughout the state are joined together to achieve ths goal.

The Greater Pascack Valley Woman's Club is dedicated to helping this effort by fundraising, collection of needed school supplies and other materials and helping to raise public awareness of this organization and its goals.

Tri-Boro Food Pantry

The Tri-Boro Food Pantry in Park Ridge serves as a place where hungry people are fed - from soup to cereal, eggs to milk, diapers to dish soap.  Ninety percent of their clients are from within the Pascack Valley.

The Greater Pascack Valley Woman's Club supports the Pantry through financial donations, and a collection of needed items at each monthly meeting.

Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels of North Jersey has been providing hot meals to our home-bound neighbors since 1970, currently serving more than 200 clients in northern Bergen County. In addition to providing financial support, members of the Greater Pascack Valley Woman's Club volunteer as drivers and food delivery persons.

Reuse and Recycle

The Greater Pascack Valley Woman's Club is working toward environmentally safe recycling.   Cell phones and other digital devices collected at donation centers in local libraries are sent to GRW Wireless to be recycled using EPA guidelines, keeping them from solid waste landfills.

Sneakers and other footwear are donated to

Soles4Souls and GotSneakers.  Useable footwear is passed on to those in need with the remainder recycled into useful products.

Eyewear is also donated to the Lions Club program.

Emmanuel Cancer Foundation

The Emmanuel Cancer Foundation helps New Jersey families who are facing the crisis of pediatric cancer, providing a place to turn for comfort and support through counseling and personal assistance - all feee of charge.

The ECF was the 2022-2024 project of the New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs.

The Greater Pascack Valley Woman's Club has provided volunteer workers at the annual holiday party for the children,  donated school supplies and other items, and raised funds to support the efforts of the organization.

Babysitting Clinic

Each year the Greater Pascack Valley Woman's Club has worked with the Park Ridge Fire Prevention Bureau to host the Peter J Harkin Babysitters Program.  Held over two nights, the program teaches children aged 10 and up the fundamentals of babysitting safety through presentations by the Fire Department, Police Department and Ambulance Corps.  The course has been held annually for over 40 years, benefiting children and parents in the Pascack Valley.
